Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Yes, I am one of those silly people that dresses up their dogs for Halloween! Actually this is the first year that I have, but don't they look adorable?
Bentley as a pumpkin is just too cute!! And Cooper as a ladybug is quite funny. I think I'll dress them up and have them help me pass out candy to trick-or-treaters tonight. :) I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!

Puppies and Update

I thought maybe you were all missing the puppies, so I thought I would put up some pictures of them and update you on what has been going on with me.

Bentley posing nicely for the camera.
Cooper says, "Bentley, do you want to come down here and play with me?" Bentley says, "Can't you see I'm being photographed?"

Cooper has no idea why Mom is running around taking pictures of them.
" Mom, I don't know what you find so difficult about Biology, I find it rather stimulating."

I wish I had a new painting to share with you today, but I'm afraid I don't. I really haven't had any time to paint lately, and it's been frustrating. I'm at the end of another quarter in school, so I have final projects and finals due by the end of next week. I'm also trying to get a jump on my Fall and Winter quilts for Etsy. I made out pretty well the last holiday season with my quilted table runners, so I thought I would give it another try this year. Although, I'd much rather be painting than sewing right now.
As far as my painting goes.. I'm still getting everything ready for my gallery representation. Little did I know, this incredible opportunity was going to turn into phone calls to the IRS and appointments with an accountant to try and figure all the legal stuff out. So, I'm officially a small business owner, or self-employed according to the government. I'm excited about being able to write off my art supplies and all my other "business related expenses." Ha-ha... it just seems funny to say that.
Anyway, I hope to finish up these classes, get ahead with my quilting and finally have some time to paint. I'm gathering many beautiful reference photos for future paintings!
I hope you all enjoy what's left of Summer!

Weekly Dose of Cooper and Bentley

Here is the weekly dose of the little guys! The first two pictures are from this week and the others are older ones I thought you might enjoy!

Cooper with his hair cut, breaking in the new couch.

Bentley with his hair cut, napping while Mommy paints.

Little Cooper last summer at the park.

Bentley having a little nap with Daddy.

This is the life.

Bentley 2 years ago with his little pony tail and bandanna!
As you can see from the first 2 pictures, I finally took them to the groomer. I think I probably let them go a little too long. But I feel better now that they're cooler without all that hair.
As I'm writing this the little guys are sleeping at my side. They're so precious! :)

100th Post

To celebrate my 100th post, how about some cute pictures of the puppies?

I went outside to photograph some flowers and Bentley wanted to be sure that I wasn't going too far! :)

Finally room for me to spread out!
I love taking them outside so they can run around, but unfortunately if they're not hooked up to their leashes, they will run away. They can still run, if you run with them! :)

I've had this comfy pillow and blanket out for them for the last couple years and finally Cooper has been using it! :)

Bentley has suddenly made this a routine. As soon as I come in to paint, he wants up on the desk! But apparently he thinks painting is boring! :)

I thought it might be cute to get a picture of them in my lap (and later crop myself out of it), but they really didn't feel like sitting still. Perhaps if we had taken the picture inside! :)

I've just been cracking up going through the pictures I've taken of them this past week. They are so much fun! And I never knew I could love two little doggies this much!
